4. 댓글과 공개 정보

회원이 댓글을 작성하면 국가 국기, 별명, 마스킹된 IP 주소, 댓글 작성일이 공개 댓글 화면에 표시될 수 있습니다. 예를 들어 전체 IP가 220.71.194.65라면 공개 화면에는 220.xxx.xxx.65와 같이 일부가 가려져 표시됩니다. 전체 이메일 주소와 전체 IP 주소는 공개 댓글 화면에 표시하지 않습니다.

욕설·비속어 등 일부 표현은 자동으로 별표(*)로 마스킹될 수 있습니다. 일반 댓글은 운영 설정에 따라 자동으로 공개될 수 있으며, 스팸 또는 악성 댓글은 별도의 보안·스팸 필터에 의해 차단되거나 삭제될 수 있습니다.

5. 회원가입 및 이메일 인증

회원가입 시 이메일 주소의 소유 여부를 확인하기 위해 인증 이메일을 발송할 수 있습니다. 인증이 완료되지 않은 계정은 로그인이 제한될 수 있습니다. 회원의 공개 댓글 이름은 이메일 주소가 아닌 별명을 우선 사용합니다.

6. 쿠키

9. 개인정보 보유기간

  • 회원계정 정보: 회원 탈퇴 또는 계정 삭제 요청 시까지. 다만 법령상 보존 의무 또는 분쟁 대응 필요가 있는 경우 해당 기간 동안 보관할 수 있습니다.

Google을 포함한 제3자 광고 제공업체는 이 사이트 또는 다른 사이트의 이전 방문을 바탕으로 광고를 제공하기 위해 쿠키를 사용할 수 있습니다. Google과 파트너는 광고 쿠키를 이용해 맞춤 광고를 제공할 수 있습니다. 광고 서비스가 작동하면 방문 페이지 주소, IP 주소와 쿠키 등 식별자가 광고 제공·측정 및 부정 이용 방지에 사용될 수 있습니다.

Money & Why provides economic, market, and company analysis together with member discussion features. This Privacy Policy explains the personal information processed through moneyandwhy.com and the choices available to users.

2. Information we collect

  • Registration: country, nickname, email address, password hash, registration and verification status, and related timestamps.
  • Email verification: temporary verification tokens and expiration information.
  • Comments: account identifier, nickname, email address, country code, comment content, timestamp, IP address, browser/user-agent information, and related WordPress comment metadata.
  • Technical logs: server and security logs may contain IP address, request time, browser/device information, requested URLs, and error or security information.

Passwords are not stored in plain text. They are handled through WordPress password hashing mechanisms.

3. Why we use this information

4. Public comment information

When a member comments, the public discussion panel may show a country flag, nickname, masked IP address and comment date. For example, 220.71.194.65 may be displayed as 220.xxx.xxx.65. Full email addresses and full IP addresses are not intentionally displayed in the public comment panel.

Some profanity may be automatically replaced with asterisks. Ordinary comments may be published automatically, while comments classified as spam or abusive may be blocked, hidden or removed.

5. Registration and verification

We may send a verification message to confirm ownership of the email address used for registration. Unverified accounts may be prevented from signing in. A member’s nickname is preferred over the email address as the public comment identity.

6. Cookies

WordPress may use cookies for login state, security and comment-related convenience features. Blocking cookies may prevent some account or login features from working properly.

7. Avatars and third-party services

WordPress/Gravatar functionality may be used to display comment avatars. A hash derived from an email address or other necessary information may be sent to the Gravatar service to determine whether a profile image is available.

8. Hosting, email and service providers

Money & Why may use Hostinger International Ltd. and its service providers to operate website hosting, domain, and email services. In providing these services, account information, email-related information, access logs, IP addresses, and other technical information necessary for service operation may be processed.

Depending on Hostinger’s service and infrastructure configuration, personal information may be stored, processed, or transferred in countries or regions outside the Republic of Korea. The actual processing locations, data centers, and subprocessors used may vary depending on the service configuration. Hostinger may use subprocessors related to cloud infrastructure, email delivery, security, and network services to provide its services.

Such processing is performed for purposes including providing website and email services, data storage and backup, maintaining security, preventing spam and malicious activity, and responding to service disruptions. Money & Why reviews and manages the privacy policies and data processing terms of its service providers as appropriate to help ensure that personal information is protected in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Retention

  • Member accounts: generally until account deletion, subject to legal retention requirements or legitimate dispute needs.
  • Email verification tokens: generally expire within 24 hours and are no longer used after verification or expiration.
  • Comments: may remain until deletion is requested, moderation requires removal, or the service is closed.
  • Security/server logs: retained for the period reasonably necessary for security and troubleshooting or according to hosting-provider settings and policies.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, password hashing, HTTPS, software updates, and security or spam filtering. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information, and may request account deletion. 12. Advertising and analytics

Advertising preparation: As of September 14, 2026, Money & Why has not received AdSense approval. This section describes planned advertising practices; it does not mean that ads or an advertising consent system are already active.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies for personalized ads. When advertising services run, page URLs, IP addresses and identifiers such as cookies may be processed for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
