Scope: South Korea’s ISA. This discussion concerns the Korean individual savings account framework, not the UK ISA or another country’s account with the same abbreviation.
Separate the questions before choosing an account
List your spending deadline, the amount you can leave invested, and the assets you would actually hold. Then ask the provider about eligibility, account costs, access to money, and the tax treatment that applies to you. An account’s tax label does not tell you how much its investments can lose.
For a useful reply, identify which part you are comparing: opening conditions, fees, eligible investments, or withdrawals. Do not post account statements or personal tax records. See our Korean ISA guide and its official sources. Scope clarified September 19, 2026.
